Corporate Governance

The HNCMA is committed to implementing high standards of corporate governance that enhance the accountability of both the Board and staff to the community and the Government.

The HNCMA has developed a Corporate Plan 2008-2012 which outlines the strategic directions for the organisation under five key areas:

  • Effective and efficient investments targeting the needs of the catchment; producing high quality sustained environmental outcomes

  • We better understand the risks to catchment condition and investment and have strategies in place for adaptive management

  • Effective implementation of a Catchment Action Plan that reflects the interests of and is supported by all stakeholders

  • Greater ownership and understanding of the catchment through partnerships and support of knowledge and skills to undertake effective natural resource action.

  • Our business management planning for the CMA’s budget, human resources, information and communications technology and other business processes and systems, is supporting the achievement and reporting of our NRM objectives.
