Aboriginal community
The Hawkesbury Nepean CMA is working to involve the Aboriginal community in the catchment in meaningful and active natural resource management with the assistance of its Aboriginal community support team.
The team have been developing programs to provide training in natural resource management for the Aboriginal community as well as assisting the community with cultural heritage protection. The Hawkesbury Nepean catchment is home to over 15% of the Aboriginal people of NSW - the largest population of any catchment area in the State.
