How to apply for funding

Landholders can either complete the on-line form to register interest in funding OR phone your local CMA office to talk to a project officer:

Goulburn: (02) 4828 6747

Lithgow: (02) 6350 3110

Moss Vale: (02) 4861 9010

Windsor: (02) 4587 0050

Then there are four easy steps to follow:

STEP 1:

A CMA project officer can arrange a visit to your property to discuss your project in more detail.

STEP 2:

The CMA project officer can help you design a project so you can complete an application form.

STEP 3:

Projects will be assessed by an independent panel to select priority projects for funding.

STEP 4:

You will be notified (usually within 3 months) whether your project has been successful or not. If successful, a CMA project officer will be available to provide technical advice and support while your project is carried out.

Aboriginal Cultural Heritage

The Hawkesbury Nepean CMA is committed to the protection of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage. All project applications are assessed to determine if a known (registered) aboriginal site is in close proximity to the project site. In the small number of cases where this occurs, an Aboriginal officer from the CMA will inspect the project site to ensure that the proposed activities do not impact on Aboriginal Cultural Heritage.

If Aboriginal objects occur on a project site, it must be reported to the Department of Environment and Climate Change for registration. The landholder will be advised as to the nature and location of the objects and the need to seek an Aboriginal Impact Permit if any future activity was likely to impact on the objects.

Should the applicant not wish to have an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage inspection on their property, they may advise the CMA that they wish to withdraw their application.
