Key Legislation The operations and role of the Hawkesbury-Nepean CMA are guided by the following NSW legislation and regulations (search by Act name in legislative links here): Catchment Management Authorities Act 2003 Native Vegetation Act 2003 Native Vegetation Regulations 2005 Water Management Act 2000 Soil Conservation Act 1938 The HNCMA also is guided by other relevant government policy and directions from the Minister for Natural Resources. The Natural Resources Commission Act 2003 also makes provision for the Natural Resources Commission to recommend the Hawkesbury Nepean CMA's Catchment Action Plan for approval to the Minister for Environment and Climate Change. The HNCMA's corporate governance and accountability responsibilities are guided by the: Public Finance and Audit Act 1983 Public Finance and Audit Regulation 2000 Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Act 1984 Annual Reports (Statutory Bodies) Regulation 2000
