This project helps landholders to conserve and enhance native vegetation including woodlands, forests and native grasslands.

The Bushland Conservation Project offers funding to rural and peri-urban landholders landholders across the catchment to:

  • Fence remnant (original) native vegetation to protect it from stock
  • Plant local native trees and shrubs to connect or enhance remnant vegetation
  • Control weeds in remnant vegetation

Generally, high value conservation projects with significant environmental outcomes will be given priority for funding.
