This program provides funding for landholders and local government to deliver on ground improvements to the health of the Hawkesbury Nepean River system – a catchment of national significance.

The CMA recognises that the health of the Hawkesbury Nepean River must be improved and managed sustainably so it can continue to provide the many benefits to so many millions of Australians.

River Restoration Project
This project helps landholders protect and restore creek and river banks throughout the Hawkesbury Nepean catchment. » more
Wetlands Management Program
This project aims to restore and protect wetlands on private property as well as Wetlands of National Importance in the catchment. » more
Estuary Investment Program
This program aims to address river health, biodiversity and land management issues in the Hawkesbury River estuary between Wisemans Ferry and Broken Bay. » more
Saltmarsh Restoration Project
The Saltmarsh Restoration Project is part of the CMA's Estuary Program and aims to restore and protect the remaining saltmarsh that occurs on private property and in council reserves along estuary foreshores, downstream of Wiseman's Ferry. » more
Nepean Case Study Project
The CMA will undertake a case study in 2006/07 to explore how its programs interact with those of other natural resource managers and how this impacts the CMA's investment. » more
