Werriberri Creek Subcatchment

Werriberri Creek is a tributary flowing into Lake Burragorang - Sydney's major water supply. The Burragorang State Conservation Area covers some sections of the lower reaches.
The subcatchment contains a number of rural villages such as The Oaks with a mix of forest and farming land.  There is a trend to increasing rural residential development.

Threats to the rivers in the subcatchment include urban runoff and nutrient input from unsewered properties. The failed weir on Timothy Lacy Lane, The Oaks, is creating bed and bank erosion, and the Oaks Airport is adjacent to the creek.
