World Wetlands Day - Fish for Tomorrow workshop


To close world wetlands week, the Hawkesbury Nepean CMA, Pittwater Council and OceanWatch Australia invite you to attend an activity-filled, educational day out around Palm Beach.

The day includes:

  • Estuarine wetland walk including a visit to the regions best saltmarsh and sea-grass locations, some right on our doorsteps. Talks by the experts on what you can do to help with their management.
  • Free ferry across Pittwater to the basin for a BBQ lunch and drinks
  • View and discuss a miniature saltmarsh display
  • View the underwater fish habitats through bucket periscopes
  • Local aboriginal stories and bush tucker taste walk and talk
  • Supervised Kids activities with a nature slant, learn the sting ray shuffle

RSVP by 8th February 2007 desirable for catering purposes or just call in on the day.
